American Dream
An exhibition in the Chisholm Halle Costume Wing of the Western Reserve Historical Society
Immigrants + the business of fashion
What’s more American than immigration?
This exhibition examines four Jewish immigrant designers and entrepreneurs who revolutionized 20th century American fashion. Visitors will explore the work of these women and experience the stories of the Clevelanders who wore their clothes, as well as the department stores and boutiques that promoted them here in Northeast Ohio.
